Our mission is: "The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church."
Eighteen years after it’s inception in 1972, The United Methodist Women’s Unit of Union Memorial United Methodist Church continues to be the largest active organization in the church. Union Memorial’s 2020 unit of 60 women meet monthly to foster spiritual growth and to be advocates for social justice and human rights, locally, nationally and internationally. The Unit’s monthly programs emphasize and highlight the needs of women and children around the world. A summation of the articles in the Response Magazine keeps awareness at the forefront.
We meet the first Monday of every month, unless it’s a holiday. If so we gather the following Monday at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for fellowship and working to improve all of our communities throughout the world.
