Liberty

June 01, 2021

The Statue of Liberty in New York harbor stands as a symbol of hope for oppressed people around the world. With freedom’s torch held high, it has welcomed refugees from all nations. Inscribed on the pedestal are the words of Emma Lazarus, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

On this Fourth of July let us thank God for our nation and our freedom. A lot of people all over the world would give everything they possess for the liberty and freedom we normally take for granted.

“This land is your land,

 This land is my land,

This land is made for you and me.”
